The Latest Headlines...

To accompany the murder and imprisonment of Croatian patriots within Yugoslavia and around the world, negative propaganda about Croatians was disseminated by Belgrade's information services. This was purposely done with the objective of squashing any activism around the world. Within years, the Croatian nation became synonymous with that of the Nazis. Sadly, in many cases of western literature, the false accusation stuck.

With his songs, Thompson has for some reason warranted the ire of many anti-Croatian Greater-Serbian nationalists and their well-paid public-relation mouthpieces their lobbies employ. They have still not come to terms that they were on the losing side of a war of aggression that Milosevic's Serbia committed against Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. They have still not come to terms with the fact that Croatia is an independent country proud of its recent victory on the battle-field against criminal aggression.

Getaways to Coddle New Mothers (or Just Inspire Some)

The unscientific survey found Las Vegas was the most popular destination. (So, what happens in Vegas sometimes comes home with you and wants to borrow the car years later.)

Dr. David Adamson, president of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, said vacations can help couples who are trying to conceive, if the trips help them relieve stress, communicate better and reconnect.

"There's no evidence that by going away it somehow intrinsically increases pregnancy rates," Dr. Adamson said. But, he added, "If it increases the frequency of intercourse, then it's probably helpful."

As the due date approaches, some couples find the need to get away together while they still can.

Since June, three W Hotels in New York City have been offering a "baby me" package for expectant parents.

New Tech fan blog: 'Shake and Bake' cooking up great future with ...

JASON JONES: It was about this time last year that Derek Dooley arrived on campus and had to basically start from scratch to put together a recruiting class. To top things off, he had about six weeks to get the job done. This year, thanks to hours and hours of work, Dooley and his staff are sitting in a much better position. Coach Dooley has commitments from 12 high school athletes. In addition, junior college standout Kwame Jordan, a 6-5 defensive end, signed in December. Jordan had offers from Marshall and Troy, but it's his former high school teammate that might be his biggest contribution. John Ehret end Eric Harper switched his commitment from Nebraska to Tech when he visited in December along with Jordan, his former teammate. Other big names pledged to the Dawgs are Bastrop athlete Bud Patterson and Mississippi prep quarterback Bret Jefcoat.

Bush Delivers Arms Sale to Saudi Arabia

President Bush, on his first visit to this oil-rich kingdom, delivered a major arms sale Monday to a major ally in a region where the U.S. casts neighboring Iran as a menace to stability.

Bush's talks with Saudi King Abdullah also were expected to cover peace between Israelis and Palestinians and democracy in the Middle East.

The administration was notifying Congress of its intent to sell $20 billion in weapons, including precision-guided bombs, to the Saudis. It is "a pretty big package, lots of pieces," national security adviser Stephen Hadley told reporters on Air Force One.

The sale is an important part of the U.S. strategy to bolster the defenses of oil-producing Gulf nations, such as Saudi Arabia, against threats from Iran.

Cafferty Channels McGovern: 'Why Won't Congress Impeach Bush?'

CNN's Jack Cafferty on Monday advanced former Democratic presidential candidate George McGovern's call for the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney, posing as his “Cafferty File" question in the 6pm EST hour of The Situation Room: “Why won't Congress impeach President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney?" Highlighting McGovern's bombastic op-ed in the “Outlook" section of Sunday's Washington Post, “Why I Believe Bush Must Go: Nixon Was Bad. These Guys Are Worse," Cafferty quoted McGovern's contention Bush and Cheney “have repeatedly violated the Constitution," “have lied to the American people time after time" and have carried out a “murderous, illegal, nonsensical war." So “illegal" that the House and Senate, controlled by Democrats, continue funding it.

All six of the posted answers, read later in the hour by Cafferty, castigated Congress for not following McGovern's advice.
