Thanks to a new law in Maryland, you can now request the three major credit reporting agencies not give out your credit report. It is just the newest way to protect you from identity theft. It will cost you $15, a five dollar fee from each credit reporting agencies. But there are two other steps you can take to guard your good name and they are both free.You see ads all the time promising you a free credit report. Those ads are all too familiar to Angie Barnett, President and CEO of the Better Business Bureau of Greater Maryland. “It is all over the internet, we find them everywhere, I'm listening to the radio, you hear it constantly." But Barnett warns buyers beware. She says, “that you can get these free credit reports but what they are going to do is give you something you can already get for free then secondly they are going to try to sell you a bundle or package of services that are directly related to protecting you from identity theft." She goes on to say that those services are steps you can take on your own without paying.The federal government requires all three of the major credit reporting agencies, Transunion, Experian and Equifax, to give you a free copy of your report once a year. I think that the outcomes will be Hilary vs MCcain for the presidency of 2008. The people will decide who best fits the robes for the position. They will determine who is going to take home the prize. Mrs. Clinton definetly is more modern than any of the other candidates, but Mr. McCain recieves support from many young people. This year, I know that many young people will vote because they are tired of a stagnat gov't who does nothing for them. I would like to see more change this year in the senate. I hope that the person who takes the presidency will appeal to a younger generation by including us in the decision he/she may make.

There is SO much broken in Illinois, much of it having to do with the political system here. It used to be, however, that at least the Democrats could play nice together. Now that is history, too, as The Gov and Michael Madigan lock horns.I am disabled and have to deal with the Illinois Department of Human Services, which is a joke. They are understaffed and really have no desire to help their clients. I have to fight for services on an ongoing basis. But all Blagojevich worries about is caring for kids... because THAT is what gets headlines, not caring for the elderly or disabled.The transit crisis in the Chicago area is, for a large part, politically based, too...
